Who can do it Any youth-serving professionals

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Questioning (LGBTQ) young people are often subject to harassment at school, erasure in faith communities, rejection from their families and hostility in youth-serving systems. This systematic abuse leads LGBTQ youth to have significantly higher rates of depression, suicide, substance abuse and homelessness, to name just a few harmful outcomes.

This training from Safe and Supported assists youth-serving professionals to understand the unique needs and issues LGBTQ young people experience in order to better serve this population.

5.5 CEUs are available for participation in this training.

Breakfast and lunch are provided. Breakfast is served at 8:30a and the training begins at 9:00a.
